NEW YEARS EVE 2006
INTO ALL THE WORLD!
 
I     THE WHOLE GOSPEL FOR THE WHOLE WORLD!
     A     NOW IS THE TIME

• Matt 24:14 [RSV] And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, as a testimony to all nations; and then the end will come.

• This is the will of the Father, and He has given Maranatha the task of being involved in this worldwide outreach!

• Jeremiah 8:20 [RSV] The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.

      B     POLITICAL EARTHQUAKE!

• When Yasser Arafat died the media described it as a “political earthquake.”

• Then again, so was Ariel Sharon ’s stroke, and also the rapid rise of Hamas to power in the West Bank and Gaza shortly thereafter.

•  In fact, you can find hundreds of news stories over the last decade that describe major events in the Middle East as “political earthquakes” (like birth pangs).

• And while it is true that for most of us the politics of the region are confusing to say the least, one thing is increasingly clear – The eyes of the world are riveted on Israel and the Middle East, the epicenter of the momentous evens shaking our world and shaping our future. And now a crisis is brewing…

• IRAN GOES NUCLEAR

• Upon taking office, the new leader of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has made a series of moves that sent shock waves through world capitals – He told the world that he believed the end of the world (as we know it) was only 2 0r 3 years away!

•  He said he believed that he had been chosen by Allah to become Iran’s leader for such a time as this to hasten the coming of the Islamic Messiah known as the Twelfth Imam or Mahdi by launching a final holy war against Christians and Jews.

• He promised that Israel would be wiped “off the map.” He is also rushing forward to develop nuclear technology for “peaceful purposes.”

      C      SEEING THE WORLD WITH SPIRITUAL EYES

• While many in the world are trying to figure out what in the world is happening, they analyze world events only by looking through the lens of politics and economics. THIS IS A BIG MISTAKE!

• The Bible is not shy about declaring itself a supernatural book. Though written by human instruments it is divinely inspired by the All-Seeing All-Knowing All-Powerful God!

• Jer 33:3 [RSV] Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things which you have not known.

• Amos 3:7 [RSV] Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.
  
  D. American Attitudes Toward Bible Prophecy

•   Israeli Journalist Gershom Gorenberg called belief in the end times prophecy “fantasy” and “dangerous.”

• The longtime PBS journalist Bill Moyer in a speech 2004 said that there were actually people who believe the Bible is literally true! And specifically called the end time’s beliefs of Americans “bizarre.” (see Epicenter pg. 48 – many in the first century knew the signs of the coming Messiah, but they could not –or would not—accept that it was Jesus to whom the prophets were pointing.) And yet, many do believe, and watch and pray.

II     WHAT DID THE PROPHETS SEE?

      A.    EZEKIEL (38-39) SAW RUSSIA MIXING WITH IRAN

• There is a military alliance emerging for the first time in history between these two countries. And yet, that is exactly what the ancient Hebrew Prophet Ezekiel (38-39) foretold some 2,500 years ago! Look at recent headlines…

      B.   THE CHINA PEARL

• “The Kings Of The East” in Biblical Prophecy refer to another sphere of power which was to arise in the world at the same time as the Great Northern Power (Russia) and the King of the South (The African Arab Alliance).

•  The original Greek words translated “east” mean “the rising of the sun.”

•  And while I don’t have a lot to say right now about China, watch Taiwan who desires independence from China . China says there is no way but war for that to happen. If so, millions will die.

• Could this war be what takes away 1/3rd of the population mentioned in Revelation 9:18?

•   At the same time, I believe the ultimate result will be a massive revival in Asia such as the world has never seen before!

      C.  DANIEL SAW THE REVIVED ROMAN EMPIRE IN THE LAST DAYS

• The focus of Europe as well as the whole world from 2007-2010 will be upon The Middle East Peace Plan. There will be major energy and world pressure put into this, and a plan will emerge that will be ultimately agreed upon by All Parties.

• Daniel 9:27 [NKJV]:  Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.

• The Prophets tell us that the Roman Empire will be revived shortly before the return of Christ to this earth.

• This Revived Roman Empire will have a leading role in working out a 7 year Peace plan with the nations of the Middle East, including Israel .

•  And, a New “Caesar” will head this empire. The antichrist…

•  My dear brothers and sisters, Today, for the first time in 2,000 years we are seeing the Roman Empire being raised through the European Union

• Daniel saw 10 toes of this large image representing the Roman Empire . And on January 1, 1995, Greece became the 10th nation of a military alliance know as the Western European Union (WEU).

• In December of 1998, at their Vienna Summit, the EU’s head created the Office of “High Representative For Common Foreign And Security Policy.” The funny thing is that out of over 1,150 documents that were generated by the summit, the document that created the post of High Representative was number 666.

•  On June5, 2000, the 10 WEU nations adopted their Assembly Recommendation 666. The importance of this document was to recommend giving the “High Representative” emergency powers – in case of military emergency…

 THE ISRAEL CONNECTION

• There is now what is called the European Neighborhood Policy, or ENP for short. This is a financial package complete with action plans for all participating nations. It is a 7 year deal, and begins tonight, Jan. 1st, 2007 for 7 years.

• So, 2007 looks to be a very interesting year, to say the least.

• Mark 13:33-37 Take heed, watch; for you do not know when the time will come. It is like a man going on a journey, when he leaves home and puts his servants in charge, each with his work, and commands the doorkeeper to be on the watch. Watch therefore - for you do not know when the master of the house will come, in the evening, or at midnight, or at cockcrow, or in the morning - lest he come suddenly and find you asleep. And what I say to you I say to all: Watch.
