	home ministries for all school of ministry class descriptions and schedules CLASS DESCRIPTIONS THE JEWISH YESHUA IN THE GOSPEL OF MATTHEW Instructor - Rabbi Barney Kasdan is the founder and leader of Kehilat Ariel Messianic Synagogue in San Diego. He came to faith in Yeshua during his college years and subsequently studied at Biola University (BA), Talbot School of Theology (M.Div) and completed one year of post-graduate work at the University of Judaism in Los Angeles. Rabbi Barney is the author of two popular books: God's Appointed Times and God's Appointed Customs, which explore the Jewish roots of the New Testament faith. He lives with his wife Liz (also a Jewish believer) and they have four grown children. Class Description: Time Magazine recently predicted that one of the top 10 trends in 2008 would be "the re-judaizing of Jesus". There is strong interest today to not only know Jesus in our faith walk, but to rediscover the historical Yeshua who claimed to be the Savior and Messiah of all. Rabbi Barney Kasdan, a Messianic Jewish scholar, will teach this 4-week class to learn more about the Jewish background of the gospels and Yeshua himself. This course will expand your understanding and increase your faith in God's promised Messiah. (This class will meet for 4 weeks.) Cost: $16.00 EVANGELISM Instructor- Jarrod Buswell leads Maranatha Chapel¹s evangelism team, E-Team.He trains those interested in learning how to share their faith, takes groups into public settings for the purpose of sharing the gospel and emphasizes the importance of prayer in evangelism. Jarrod has been on staff with Maranatha Chapel since 2004. Class Description: From telling a friend about Jesus, to sharing with a complete stranger, the Evangelism class will assist anyone who has a desire to spread the good news. This class is practical training. Topics include: EVANGELISM SURVIVAL TIPS: Spiritual Warfare and Staying Focused on the Front Lines EVANGELISM RESOURCES: Art of the Covenant Open Air Gospel Illustrations and other resources. EVANGELISM ON THE STREETS: Being Ready to Give an Answer to Every Man PERSONAL EVANGELISM: Relational or one on one evangelism. (This class will meet for 4 weeks.)
