David Hostetler
Tentmaker Ministry as English Teacher Working in Osaka

David Hostetler was a member of Maranatha Chapel for three years before he moved to Japan in answer to God's call.  He has lived there for nine years, and is employed as an English teacher in Osaka where God gives him the opportunity to share his faith with the Japanese who desire to learn our language.

As part of his outreach to the Japanese, David conducts weddings in the Japanese language for couples desiring a Christian-style wedding.  This ministry provides a unique opportunity to present a clear gospel message to wedding guests who usually have not had a chance to attend Church.

David also takes part in a variety of ministries in his home church in Osaka.  These activities include teaching, translating, new believer discipleship, English Bible study, home fellowship, ushering and gospel choir.

David, his wife Shihoko and daughter Rebekah Megumi are active in their church, being involved in a variety of ministries such as gospel choir, home fellowship, ushering, and new believer discipleship.
