“On Eagles’ Wings”, a ministry reaching out to the young Roma (gypsy) population in Bucharest shares God’s word through weekly Bible studies and teaches any willing children to read and write in Romanian. In speaking with teenage and young adult Roma, they have expressed that they don’t need to go to school because they are Gypsy and will never be accepted into main-stream culture. This is our biggest challenge, to break the cycle and help them understand that  “With God, all things are possible”. Matt.19:26. Under the direction of Calvary Chapel Bucharest, the children of “On Eagles’ Wings”, interact with people from many different backgrounds including Roma, Romanians, Americans and others.  “You have seen what I did to the Egyptians and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself.”  Exodus 19:4

Rebecca’s main focus in Romania is working with “On Eagles’ Wings”, but also is involved in women’s ministry and other projects for CC Bucharest. She attends the bible college at CC Bucharest as well.  Many precious friendships have been established through the church and she enjoys the many get- togethers to play cards and bar-b-que sausage!
