LOCAL OUTREACH
Operation Christmas Child.
Maranatha partners with Samaritans Purse and their outreach Operation Christmas Child to share the Gospel to children around the world during the Christmas season. We partner by packing shoeboxes full of toys, hygiene products, clothes and the hope that the Gospel brings in the fall each year. We also have a year round sewing ministry that creates thousands of skirts for Maranatha families to pack in the shoeboxes.

Journey of Hope.
Journey of Hope is our Refugee Ministry here at Maranatha Chapel. We collaborate with Emanuel Faith and World Relief to serve the growing refugee population in San Diego. This ministry offers opportunities to help tutor children, teach English to children or adults or walk alongside a family. Click the link below to sign up!

Reach Out: Pen Pals.
Maranatha Chapel has pen pal relationships with inmates throughout California’s prison and jail systems. This worthy ministry brings Light to a very dark place. We seek to keep hope alive through our regular correspondence with those who often feel overlooked and forgotten.

Sonshine.
The Sonshine team serves the residents at Boulder Creek Post Acute facility in Poway by hosting a weekly church service, hosting an Angel giving tree during the holidays, and many more fun events throughout the year.

Speak Up For Life.
We currently partner with local Crisis Pregnancy Centers providing practical ways to support them: financially, spiritually, lovingly. Our primary focus is prayer along with education on speaking up for life, encouraging volunteers etc. Join us as we pray over the clinic needs, for clients coming to the clinic for services, and protection of all human life.
The prayer team meets the third Saturday of every month from 4:00pm- 5:00pm in the Bookstore. (September we will meet on Sept. 9th)
